What objects did you notice in the sky at night?

Sun, Moon, Planets and their moons, Comets, Asteroids Meteors, Nebula and Stars. During daylight we only see our Sun and sometimes the moon.At night we see all the shining objects mentioned above against the dark sky. Some of the brighter stars appear to form groups in the sky, these we call constellations.

When you look up at the night sky and see what appears to be a bright star moving quickly across the sky, what you're really seeing is a satellite that's reflecting the Sun's surface in just the right way for you to see it.

Comets, asteroids and other Near-Earth Objects (NEOs) are a fascinating sight to behold, if you can manage to spot one in the night sky.6 days ago

Why Is The Moon So Bright?

The moon only seems bright in the night sky because it is so close to the earth and because the trees, houses, and fields around you are so dark at night. In fact, the moon is one of the least reflective objects in the solar system. Why is the moon so bright?ObjectBond AlbedoMercury12%Moon12%

Why Is The Moon So Bright?

The night sky is the nighttime appearance of celestial objects like stars, planets, and the Moon, which are visible in a clear sky between sunset and sunrise, when the Sun is below the horizon.

Did you know that you can see the International Space Station ( ISS ) in the night sky as it passes over your area at a distance of approximately 400 km from Earth? To the naked eye, the Space Station looks like a big white dot that moves quickly across the sky without changing direction, unlike aircraft, for example.
